Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor Accepts Award for Gov. John Kasich

At the 2015 OACCS Faculty and Career Service Conference and Annual meeting held October 30, 2015, Lt. Governor Mary Taylor was in attendance to accept the 2015 Distinguished Governmental Service Award for Governor John Kasich. The award recognized the Kasich Administration’s prioritization of adult workforce training and apprenticeships. Certainly Kasich’s legacy will include his innovations in workforce development and focus on alignment of education and training systems to meet the needs of employers and create jobs. His support of Ohio’s Career Colleges and Schools extends from providing commencement addresses to meeting with members of our in private session…and grilling us a bit on how OACCS schools and colleges meet the needs of non-traditional students.
